BMW | The official vehicles partner of the London 2012 Olympic Games

Once again BMW got the Trump Card. This time BMW going to become an official vehicles partner of the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games. BMW is one the leading vehicle company in the world and they are committed to provide a executive world class service for London 2012 Olympics which is called Paralympic Games as well.



25th of November 2009, Lord Sebastian Coe, chairman of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) has today announced that BMW has become the Automotive Partner of London 2012. BMW will provide the 4000 or so vehicles which are required at the Games to transport athletes, technical officials, media, LOCOG operational teams, national Olympic Committees, International Sports Federations, the IOC and marketing partners.

Moreover, a proportion of the vehicles will be wheelchair-accessible and converted for use by disabled drivers and passengers.


In addition, BMW will be a Sustainability Partner, supporting London's commitment to deliver its 'low carbon' and 'healthy living' Games. This year, for the fifth consecutive year, BMW was named by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index as the world's most sustainable automotive company.

Some Key Facts of Aquatic center in Stratford Park
  • The total cost of London Olympic Aquatic centre is £214m
  • The Olympic aquatic center will now cost £240m, more than three times the estimate when the bid was made
  • The aquatic centre, designed by the award-winning architect Zaha Hadid
  • London 2012 officials had originally pledged prices would start at £15 with more than half of available tickets priced at £30.
  • The aquatic center, which will include two 50m swimming pools and a diving pool.
  • Aquatics Centre will be a masterpiece for London 2012 and Paralympic games
  • The roof of Aquatic center is now 14,000 square metres, compared to 35,000 metres originally.

BT marks 1,000 days to go. A celebration of London 2012 is happening at BT tower. Here are some photos capturing the great moment....


It looks spectacular, fabulous, amazing. This is a very exciting time for London and having grown up near Weymouth, I'm excited for them too - I hope the roads down there can cope with Olympic traffic???

Welcome to London 2012 Olympics. The worlds biggest games is Olympic. London 2012 officially known as the Games of the XXX Olympiad for the first time. London will be the first city to officially host the modern Olympic games three times. The last two Olympics held in 1908 & 1948.
